  • Mad Science: Science Spectacular: Spin, Pop, Boom (Registeration

Where: Kent Springs ( meet at Anamax park)
Description:
18+ Town of Sahuarita Parks and Recreation Department invites you to
enjoy the
beautiful Arizona weather with the Hiking Club. Come and meet
fellow hiking enthusiasts from
the Town of Sahuarita while enjoying
refreshing hikes. Hikes average about 5 hours and are held
every other
Saturday, which is scheduled to leave Anamax Recreation Center. Hikes
are led by
an experienced and knowledgeable guide that can adjust hikes
to meet everyone’s hiking needs
and are open to the public. The focus
of this club is to help beginning hikers become
comfortable with local
trails and to enjoy the outdoors. For more information please call Town

Where:
Safari Park- Rancho
Description:
We’ve strapped cash, gift certificates, and other prizes to a couple of
uber-fast
runners. You run them down for your prizes! Grab one of their
numbered flags and claim your
prize with the corresponding number at
the finish line. Sound easy, until you know you’ll be
running through a
haunted forrest, a cemetary, a spooky safari, and a pixie infested
hollow. It’s
like a food-fight in costume- while running… WEAR EYE
PROTECTION becuase our human spooks
are armed with everything from Rice
and Beans to colored whipped cream. You WILL get dirty.
Yes-
projectiles will be launched at you! Wear your eye protection and GET
YOUR MONSTER ON!
Remember your canned food for the community food bank.
You get a raffle ticket for each can
that you bring. Get there early
for best parking: 75 spaces available at the club house. Overflow
parking at Anza Trail School, Rancho Sah. Club house, and Rancho Sah
shopping center. NO
PARKING on the residental streets. You’ll have to
walk 1/4 to 1/2 mile from overflow parkingleave
plenty of time.

Event schedule and times:

7:30 am same day registration and packet pickup
8:29 am and 55 seconds: Sponsors get a head start

8:30 am SHARP We run ’em down for prizes! You can take one flag from each sponsor. No tackling: touch football rules only.

9:30 am Raffle and prize announcements at Parque del Rio club house. Prizes include food, shirts, gift
certificates, and more!

Free Kids race at 9:30 through the spooky safari.

  • 1pm – 5pm 1st Aid & CPR classes ($40)

Description:
Parks & Recreation offers monthly 1st Aid & CPR classes. All classes
follow
American Heart Association guidelines. Each participant will
receive a course completion card
upon passing the class. Please call

register for classes. Classes are held at Anamax Park Recreation
Center. Class fee is $40.

short to fit the toddlers’ short
attention spans. Each Toddler
storytime is 20 to 30 minutes long.

  • 10:30am – 11:30am Preschool Storytime

Where: Green Valley Library
Description:
Preschool Storytime Designed for 3- to 5-year-olds and their parents or
caregivers.
Stories are longer than the Toddler Storytime and the
activities are more complex. Children
must be able to sit still for a
longer period of time than during Toddler Storytime. Preschool

Storytime is 30 to 45 minutes long.

Free tutoring is available on site for all ages. Subjects include math,
science,
social studies and writing.
