WHY DO PEOPLE TAKE PIANO LESSONS?
Some of us feel so passionate about the music we love, that we want to go deeper than just listening to it. We want to play music ourselves, to feel it, possess it, and become part of it. Playing the piano is an incredibly profound journey to express the inner voice of the soul. And it is one of the best ways to keep your brain healthy.
ABOUT THE ALBERTSON MUSIC STUDIO
I have been teaching piano lessons for many years in Texas, California and now Arizona. It is a loving passion for me. I teach lessons to students 5 years of age to 100 years of age. Each student receives his/her own course and plan of study geared to age, goals and abilities. I continue to try to grow as a better teacher each year by attending meetings and staying active in the Tucson Music Teachers Association which is affiliated with Arizona State MTA and the Music Teachers National Association along with other music organizations.
School Age Students are required to perform because that is goal setting and creates faster progress with anticipated performances. Ensembles, Composition, Master Classes and our Annual Recital are some of the many activities that are available through lessons in our studio.
Adults are allowed to travel at the pace they desire and they can determine their ultimate goals and desired type of music with very little stress created at the lessons. Adults can choose to perform or not, there is no pressure to perform as an Adult because your goals are uniquely different.
